About

What the Meta is an independent analytics site for World of Warcraft Mythic+ keystone runs. It pulls Blizzard's public leaderboard across US, EU, KR, and TW, deduplicates the cross-realm overlap, and publishes weekly aggregates: top specs by role, leading group compositions, per-dungeon stats, and week-over-week trends. AI features read the same rollups and produce clearly marked interpretation.

Most M+ tools either drown you in tables, paywall the useful slices, or skew toward elite-only runs that don't reflect the bracket most people actually push. What the Meta is built around one question: what is currently being run, and how is it shifting?

Methodology

Data comes from Blizzard's Mythic+ leaderboard endpoints: the top-ranked runs per dungeon, per region, per week. Rollups are computed on the raw, de-duplicated run table; nothing on the site is read directly from the API at request time.

Score buckets (All keys, Top 10%, Top 1%) are computed per-period from score percentiles, not from absolute key levels, so "Top 1%" means the same thing structurally in week 3 and week 23 of a season, even when key ceilings shift.

Each page carries a small coverage badge that flags whether the slice you're viewing is finalized (closed period, widened sample) or still moving (current open week, fast sample). Numbers on the live week will be corrected as more runs come in; treat them as provisional.

What this site is not

It is not a character lookup, an item planner, a guide site, or a leaderboard tool. Raider.IO, WarcraftLogs, and Wowhead cover those better. It is also not a real-time view: the data refreshes every couple of hours, not every pull.
